Grand Erie Business Centre is a private non-profit business development corporation that has been serving Haldimand County and the Township of West Lincoln for over 20 years. Our mandate is to partner with local businesses and organizations to facilitate community economic growth. We measure our success by the number of permanent jobs that are created and maintained through the businesses and projects that we support. Grand Erie Business Centre is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of successful business people and professionals from throughout Haldimand County and West Lincoln.

How we help local business succeed

Consultation, Support and Advice
With a vast network of contacts and community partners, the varied business expertise of the Board of Directors and staff and the research tools available through the Canada Ontario Business Service Centre Research Library, the Business Centre is capable of providing solid business advice and assistance in helping entrepreneurs to complete accurate business and marketing plans.

Partners, just to name a few, are the local Members of Parliament, Industry Canada, Employment Ontario, the Business Development Bank of Canada, the municipal and provincial economic development departments, related government agencies, local schools, colleges, and university business departments and our large network of private business and community contacts.

There is no cost for our consultation, support and advisory services as these costs are covered under the contracts with the Government of Canada.

Loans
Since 1989, Grand Erie Business Centre has loaned over $16 million to local businesses. We pride ourselves in helping clients find the best sources of information and funds for expanding or starting their enterprise. When an entire financial package is unavailable through conventional lenders, Grand Erie Business Centre will consider loaning up to $250,000 to make viable projects happen. Quite often the loan from the Business Centre can assist in leveraging many times the amount needed.

Community Economic Development
The business centre initiates community economic development projects and provides consultation support and advice to other community groups.
